Fluminense 2024 Home Kit by Umbro: A Tribute to Art Deco and 1984 Title
Fluminense, the defending Copa Libertadores champion and one of the most popular clubs in Brazil, has unveiled its new kit for the 2024 season. The kit, designed by Umbro, celebrates the club's 100th anniversary and its historic 1984 Brasileirão title, as well as the Art Deco influence in Rio de Janeiro.
The home kit features the traditional vertical stripes in green, white, and maroon, with a subtle pattern of abstract and deconstructed lines that evoke the Art Deco style. The collar and the sleeve edges are detailed in gold, adding a touch of elegance and prestige. A commemorative seal is placed at the bottom of the badge, marking the club's centenary and its 1984 title.
The away kit is cherry-colored, a classic color of the alternate jersey of the Brazilian national team. The away kit has a unique pattern of the Estadio Monumental U Marathon, the club's home stadium and its sponsor, in a darker tone. The collar and the sleeve edges are also detailed in gold, creating a contrast with the cherry background.
The new kits are made of high-quality polyester and elastane, with Hidrotec technology that keeps the players dry and comfortable. The kits are available for purchase at the Umbro website and other authorized stores, for (60 USD).
Fluminense, also known as Flu or Tricolor, is the most successful club in Peruvian football history, with 26 national titles and three Copa Libertadores finals. The club has produced many legendary players, such as Teodoro Fernández, Héctor Chumpitaz, and Paolo Guerrero. The club's motto is "Fuerza, Garra y Corazón" (Strength, Grit and Heart), which reflects its identity and values.
